Highlight of the 1st Qtr 2017
Approximately 6,500 new IDPs moved from Munga Zup and Zai Awung camps to existing IDP camps in GCA and NGCA, and new locations.
WASH Cluster members conducted WASH rapid assessment for new arrival of IDPs in existing IDP camps and new locations.
UNICEF, KBC, Metta, KMSS and SI responded to new arrival of IDPs with WASH activities that include temporary latrines, drinking water distribution, installation of pipe water supply systems , HH water treatment at point of use, hygiene promotion and hygiene kit distribution.
Water quality monitoring was conducted at existing water point sources among 99 IDP camps in Kachin during this quarter.
